Cox.com
Cox Communications is the third largest cable internet provider in the country. Servicing 19 states across the country, their market includes Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Oklahoma City.
In my previous position as an Associate Art Director at FCB Chicago, my day to day included designing pages for Cox.com. This included several product offerings, such as Internet, TV, Phone, Homelife and Homelife Security, and the newly launched Cox Mobile.
Homelife
In 2022 Cox launched a new product “Homelife” that allows customers to monitor their home with continuous video recording using HD cameras.
The ask was to develop a new product sales and marketing page for this product, as well as create modules to advertise it across the other product pages on the site.
Key considerations: Strategic user flow, modernization of content, and redesigned pricing cards.
SUI
Straight Up Internet (SUI) is a discounted internet offering from Cox for lower income customers. As of April 1, Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) can be applied with SUI.
The ask was to create several states with a hero treatment that included an address capture and new messaging regarding this offer.
Key considerations: Responsive layout.
Bulk Data
Cox customers who live in properties that have preselected internet plans can now select their own internet speed and add on other products.
The ask was to create an email driven landing page that allowed customers to activate their service and promote the option to upgrade and add other PSUs.
We designed three states of the interaction flow, including two upgrade options dependent on the user’s original speed.
5G Illustration
Cox provides fiber-based internet to customers, which is currently competing with 5G internet providers.
The ask was to create an illustration that informs consumers of the important differences between Cox’s network (fiber cables extending from a building with a server) and 5G home internet providers (where the service is transmitted by waves from a cell tower).
Key considerations: Branded illustration style and responsive layout.
