Apolonia Design Co.

ADC started in 2019 as a passion project during my second to last year at University. Over the years it has evolved into a small business, as I learned the ins and outs of digital marketing, participated in Makers Markets across Champaign and Chicago, and kept making fun things! Primarily Etsy based, ADC offers prints, stickers, jewelry and more.

Nature Inspired

I derive a lot of my inspiration for my work from nature, especially the cycle of life. I’ve always had a fascination for plants and insects, and more recently animal bones. There is so much beauty in the decay and transformation of energy. I’d like to think of my art as a collection and preservation of beautiful ephemeral oddities.

Social Justice

A key value for me as an artist is the ability to use my work as social commentary or to support important causes. One of my most popular pieces, the My Body My Choice sticker, was designed as a protest against the sudden overturn of Roe v. Wade in the summer of 2022. I pledged to donate $1 from each sticker sale to an abortion fund or charity. So far I’ve donated $75 to the Chicago Abortion Fund.

Wearables

I love experimenting with jewelry making! Read more about my custom jewelry projects on most recent blog post.
